Chirina Ltd. the producer of Biu-Biu, is the largest poultry producer in Southern Caucasian region. Our company is vertically integrated; this integration allows us to control the quality at each stage of the production – starting from cultivating raw materials for feed, till distribution and selling of poultry products.
The company Chirina established a Food Safety Management system according to ISO 22000: 2005 standard. Chirina is certified by German certification company TUV SUD.
ISO 22000: 2005 certificate of Food Safety Management is guarantee for our customers and partners, prooving that our company works according to international standards, ensuring food safety through the entire chain of poultry production, starting from cultivating raw materials for feed, till distribution and selling of end products - Chicken Meat.
Biu-Biu chickens are raised with Georgian corn. Chirina company owns fields, where high quality corn and wheat are grown. In addition to our own grain, we also buy and process grain from local Georgian farmers.
Grain which is grown in Georgian fields, is dried in owr own factory. First of all we check the quality of raw grain. In our laboratory, we test on chemical structure and presence of mycotoxins. Grain is accepted only if it successfully passes lab testing. After that, grain is proceded to dryer, where it is dried to the desired humidity level. Dry grain is transmitted to storing silos, where the 24-hour observation guarantees the best storage conditions.
Chirina built the largest dryer and storage plant in Georgia with its British partner – Chief Industries.
Chief Industries operates in agro industry for more than 40 years, and is one of the leaders in building Grain storage and grain management factories.
Chirina Company owns the Feed Mill, where the Georgian grain is processed into granulated, complete, combined feed. Feed is marketed under the brand name KvebeCo.
Factory is equipped with modern line, and meets European standards. The quality of grain and ready feed is controlled in our modern laboratory.
The main advantage of combined, granulated food, is that during granulating process the activity of toxins and poisonous substances lowers, and feed becomes 100 % free of Salmonella; as a result we get totally healthy, safe food for chicken.
Factory prepares feed for birds and agricultural livestock. Food is prepared without adding any hormones or GMOs.
Our company built the first combined feed mill in Georgia with Spanish partner Rosal. Rosal operates in feed mill industry for more than 50 years, and has more than 400 clients throughout the world.
One of the competitive advantages of our company is modern hatchery. The up-to-date technologies of microclimate control, also the system of controlling temperature and humidity level allow us to create the ideal conditions for chick embryo development.
We constructed the hatchery together with our partner Hatchtech. Headquartered in Netherlands, Hatchtech has become the global leader in incubation equipment industry, by creating innovative climate-control system.
Biu-Biu chickens are raised in modern European standard farms. We create all necessary conditions to raise the healthy chicken.
In our complex we have breeder, pullet and broiler farms. Farms are highly automatized. Feed and water is delivered automatically what guarantees that chicken gets right amount of food, at the right time, and also protects the farms from external poisoning. The minimal contact with human preserves chicken from various illnesses.
Chirina company constructed farms with two different partners. The leading company of Israel - Agrotop planned and built pullet, breeder and broiler farms.
Big Dutchman installed the equipment of farms and implemented the automatized system. Dutch and American company Big Dutchman has 75 years of experience in poultry industry. Today the company is presented on 5 continents in more than 100 countries, and is regarded as a leader in farm equipment and feed management systems.
Chirina Company owns the first entirely automatized meat processing line in Georgia. Modern equipment, provided by our Dutch partner Meyn, meets all international standards and guarantees the ideal cleanness of the chicken inside out.
Chirina implemented the innovative Air Chilling technology in the processing line. This technology unlike its predecessor – water chilling, is created to ensure the perfect drying of the meat, thus the amount of water in the end product is set to minimum. As the result, our consumer pays for meat and not frozen water.
One of the prevailing priorities of our company is caring for our environment. Chirina implemented modern systems of waste treatment to ensure that production process is safe for the nature.
Together with our Dutch partner Nijhuis Water Technologies, we installed the innovative water treatment system, which filters the water used in production, and clear water goes to a canal. This way Chirina protects our nature from polluting.
Our Partner company “Georgian Broiler” is equipped with modern distribution trucks. They have temperature control systems, which ensure the safe delivery of Biu-Biu chicken to every retail spot.
Especially for fresh chicken, we’ve put retail boxes in Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kutaisi. There we have created perfect conditions for storing and selling the fresh meat.
